MAY ROUNDTABLE LUNCHEON
Lonnie Palmer, Superintendent of the Albany Public Schools, will be the speaker
at the May 9, 200l Roundtable Luncheon.
Albany is facing many critical issues when it comes to its public schools.
These issues include the challenge of developing a proposal for a major physical
upgrade of school facilities, the need to improve student educational
performance, the impact of charter schools and what the role in the city school
system should be for the Mayor. Superintendent Palmer will share his
perspective with us at the Luncheon.
The Luncheon is open to the public that are required by May 4th and can be made
by calling 431-1440 (the reservation number of the Albany-Colonie Regional
Chamber of Commerce). The cost of the Luncheon is $10.
The Luncheon begins at 12:30 PM and is held in the third floor former courtroom
of the Old Federal Bldg., now part of SUNY Plaza at the foot of State Street.
